Teacher Training Workshop Dates Announced
Deciding how to announce our teacher training workshops to the whole state of Texas was a daunting challenge.
Choosing the largest science conference in the country seemed like a good place to start.
With a record breaking attendance of more than 5,500 science teacher from across the state, the 2005 Conference for the Advancement of Science Teaching (CAST) held at Houston's Reliant Center set the stage for the kickoff of our 2006 Teacher Training Workshops.
Announcing our largest offering of workshops to date, the Center for Engineering Outreach unveiled plans for the next series of cutting-edge workshops designed for the K-12 classroom.
New this year: a content area focused on Green Engineering for environmental conscious teachers, and a new workshop on Applied Robotics for the Classroom. And in addition to choosing from six engineering-themed workshop topics, teachers can decide to either train at Texas Tech University's main academic campus in Lubbock or get away to the Texas Tech Academic Center at Junction, located in the scenic Texas Hill Country.
Additional information about the full 2006 summer catalog as well as accommodations and registration is available from the center's web site.
