Why I'm a mentor

I want to be able to help tomorrow's kids realize that their potential is amazing, because I believe that they have just as much potential to change the world as we do.

What I'm working on

Industrial engineers study efficiency and floor layouts of factories. We help companies to be profitable and to operate at their maximum efficiency.

I'm taking courses in industrial engineering, chemistry, calculus, engineering analysis and Engineering Graphics. My research interests include seeing how people react to their environments and building with wood.

I'm active in TechCRU (Campus Crusade for Christ) and the Institute of Industrial Engineers, an organization that discusses what is going on in industrial engineering, takes field trips, and brings in guest speakers.

Why I like Texas Tech

I originally picked Texas Tech because of their architecture program — my first major before engineering. I like going to school here because it's not close to home, but it's still in Texas.

What I plan to do

A dream that I have for the future is to own my own furniture shop where I make hand-crafted furniture with hand tools such as chisels, planes and hand saws.

I would also love to work in the New England states.
