Major: Industrial Engineering

Why I'm a mentor

I applied to be an Engineering Outreach Mentor because I want to help inspire kids. It is so amazing to watch someone learn something and see their eyes light up when they understand.

Plus it is so important to make sure more people discover their love of science and math so that they can become our future engineers and keep developing new things.

What I'm working on

What I've heard about industrial engineering is that it's 'business school on steroids' — and it's kind of true. I love how industrial engineers make things more efficient and better organized.

I am involved in the Society of Women Engineers, a group of women who bring a female perspective to the College of Engineering, and the Institute of Industrial Engineers, a professional organization for industrial engineers.

Why I like Texas Tech

Texas Tech was a perfect balance for me. It's close to home, but far enough away that I don't have to always go home.

I chose the College of Engineering at Texas Tech because they have an amazing industrial engineering program. I know I'm studying with the best.

What I plan to do

In the future, I want to do research on space and rockets. My dream job is to work at NASA, and I won't let anything stop me.

Later on, I'd like to open an aerospace firm with my best friend and develop better technologies for space.
