Why I'm a mentor

Engineering isn't just about knowing how to solve complicated math problems; it's more about learning how to approach and solve problems.

Tomorrow's engineers are incredibly important, because tomorrow holds a lot of problems and the possibilities to solve them. When I'm older I want those problems in the hands of good people — good engineers.

Encouraging tomorrow's engineers in any way, shape or form is something I'm delighted to do.

What I'm working on

Students who major in electrical engineering and computer science can do anything from the ones and zeroes of digital logic to the design of Web-based computer programs.

I'm currently taking Feedback Control Systems, Electromagnetic Theory, Theory of Automata and Project Lab III. I'm also in several engineering organizations, such as IEEE and NSBE.

As a Red Raider I love Texas Tech football, play on a soccer team and teach guitar lessons.

Why I like Texas Tech

When it came down to deciding where to go to school, Texas Tech was the obvious choice for me.

In my opinion, Texas Tech has the best engineering program in the state, with classes devoted to getting students hands-on experience that giver you a deeper understanding of your career field.

What I plan to do

After school, I plan on being ridiculously happy and successful — with a job of some kind. The only question is what aspect of engineering I enjoy the most.

Currently, I like it all so much that I have trouble narrowing it down. Luckily, engineering gives me a range of careers to choose from so that I can pick a job that I can't wait to wake up to every morning.
